ILS staff, Cheryl Hobbs, Ph.D. and Carol Swartz, Ph.D. attended the Environmental Mutagenesis and Genomics Society (EMGS)  meeting in Kansas City, MO on September 24-28, 2016.  Dr. Hobbs gave a talk and presented a poster on “Toxicogenomic Evaluation of Baseline and Exposure-Related Effects of Valproic Acid, Garcinol, and DZNeP on Gene Expression in an Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell Line”.  Dr. Swartz gave a talk and presented a poster on “In Vitro Micronucleus and CometChip® with Metabolically Competent HepaRG™ Cells”.

​ILS staff attended the American Society for Cellular and Computational Toxicology (ASCCT)  meeting in Research Triangle Park on September 29-30, 2016.  Dave Allen opened the meeting with the President’s Welcome and served as a session chair, Xiaoqing Chang gave a platform presentation on “An open source workflow for in vitro to in vivo extrapolation”, Judy Strickland presented a poster on “Prediction of skin sensitization potency using machine learning approaches”, and Les Recio was an invited participant for a panel discussion on “Using stem cell models to improve the safety assessment of pharmaceuticals”.
